Overview
The design
paradigm for Shaker Bay is drawn from such places as Martha's
Vineyard, Stockbridge or the Hamptons where a relaxed country
atmosphere is the theme of professional architecture and natural
landscapes.
The forty-some home
sites are set on over 150 acres and range from 1 - 8+
acres each. Sites on the West side overlook the bay and
the adjoining 400 Acre Forever Wild Nature Preserve. East
side sites have large trees and ravines bordering our own private
preserve with its trails and tennis courts. The Northern
border is formed by the Hudson Mohawk Bicycle Path. In
the center section there are smaller sites around a 2 acre New
England Common and larger sites in the meadow area. Shaker
Bay is a place onto itself with changing topography, varied
landscapes and no thru traffic.
Located in the heart
of the Capital District, Shaker Bay has public water, gas, sewers,
underground power and Town roads. It is in the highly ranked
North Colonie School District and has the lowest tax rates in
the Capital District.
