(1) North Colonie Schools are consistently among the top ranked in the capitol region.

(2) Tax Rates are consistently the lowest in the area, half that of some places. Moody's Investor's Services gives the Town a high AA3 credit rating.

(3) In a 1996 study of communities of 75,000 or more, Colonie was ranked the sixth safest community in the United States.

(4) The Town provides excellent facilities, the W.K. Sanford Town Library is open seven days a week. There is a 150 acre Town Park with olympic pool, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and a boat launch 3 1/4 miles along the bike path from Shaker Bay.

Shaker Bay is handy to the Albany International Airport, (4 1/2 miles or 7 minutes), it is also well out of the flight paths which go North over Buhrmaster drive or East over Latham Circle.

A full service Marina is just down river at Blain's Bay, (4 miles via Pollock Road), with dockage, fuel, repair and winter storage.
