The house is approached from the downhill side on the east through a porte-cochere entry which leads to a treed two story clerestory lit atrium with dramatic staircase and elevator to the living level. Here, full wall windows which follow the interesting ceiling shapes reveal expansive private lawns overlooking the bay. The interlocking pavilions have dark slate roofs and crisp white siding.
