Bicycle Path
The path
forms the Northern boundary of Shaker Bay and runs 35 miles
from the Empire State Plaza to Rotterdam Junction. It
is 3 miles East to the Colonie Town Park and 6½ miles West to
the G.E. Research Center.
The Nature Preserve

 
Trail markers
lead through our private nature preserve. Deer, turkeys,
grouse, woodpeckers and hawks are common, a pair of bald eagles
nest locally. Mature oak, pine, beech, and hemlock keep the
forest floor open, wild flowers abound in season. Access
is by gated driveway with parking by the tennis courts. The
area is available to all residents.
